LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for most of central Indiana until 10:00 P.M. Thursday night. These strong storms can bring up to quarter size hail, strong winds, and a possible tornado.
A super cell storm crossed the viewing area Thursday afternoon. Prompting the NWS to issue a tornado warning for Boone, Clinton, and Montgomery counties. The warning expired at 4:00 P.M.
“While the current wave of storms has passed, the conditions are very favorable for severe weather,” said Chief meteorologist Cameron Hopman.
WLFI will be following the storms throughout the evening.
