LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – An ordinance preserving brick streets in Lafayette is set to go before the council.
As News 18 has been reporting, some residents were concerned after bricks on 6th Street were replaced with asphalt.
To address the issue, an ordinance preserving brick streets was before the council in early March. It was tabled in order to gather more input from concerned residents.
The ordinance committee then met with some residents to discuss the changes.
The amended ordinance is back on the agenda and the council will vote on Monday.
