WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Knowledge was gained during the sharing of personal experiences at Loeb Playhouse Saturday afternoon.

This marks the sixth year Purdue has played host to the TedX event, called UnscripTED.

The idea behind the name is that life can be unscripted.

Over the course of four hours, a dozen speakers took the stage and shared their own personal-life experiences.

Attendees were given a gift bag with notebooks, pens and items from sponsors.

Up to 1,000 people were anticipated to attend.

“Ideas are the most valuable thing that a person can share and to have ideas like this that are inspiring to other people,” Swathi Kumar said. “Experiences that are inspiring to other people is a very important thing especially in the Purdue community.”

News 18’s very own Dustin Grove was the emcee at Saturday’s event.

Following the event, attendees were able to talk one on one with the speakers at an after party.
