TIPPECANOE CO., Ind. (WLFI) — Sunday marks the start of Severe Weather Preparedness and Flood Awareness Week.
The Indiana Department of Homeland Security is urging Hoosiers to have a plan in place before severe weather strikes.
Planning ahead can prevent weather-related deaths, injuries and property damage.
Hoosiers are encouraged to put together a preparedness kit, identify shelter and practice their plan this week.
A statewide tornado drill will take place twice on Tuesday, one in the morning and one in the evening.
