MILWAUKEE (WLFI) – Purdue jumped out to an early lead to start the game, and extended it to 19 points in the second half.

Iowa State, however, fought back and took the lead with just outside of three minutes left in the game.

Purdue made key plays and shots down the stretch to win the game, 80-76.

Sophomore forward Caleb Swanigan was just three assists short of a triple-double, but the National Player of the Year candidate notched the usual double-double with 20 points, 12 rebounds.

Purdue moves on to the Sweet 16, to play the winner of Sunday’s Kansas vs. Michigan State matchup.
