Over 28 pounds of marijuana seized from West Lafayette apartment

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Two Tippecanoe County residents were arrested after a long-term investigation conducted by the West Lafayette Narcotics Unit.

On March 4, WLNU investigators executed a search warrant on an apartment unit located at 400 N. River Road in West Lafayette. The apartment is located at the LAUNCH Social Living apartment complex, formerly known as Williamsburg on the Wabash.

The search resulted in police seizing more than 28 pounds of marijuana, over 90 grams of marijuana concentrate, packaging materials, psilocybin mushrooms and several items of paraphernalia.

Investigators arrested 22-year-old Kai Noa Quinton, of West Lafayette, and Ian Rider, 22, of Lafayette.

Quinton faces preliminary felony charges of dealing in marijuana, possession of marijuana and maintaining a common nuisance. He was also preliminarily charged with misdemeanor counts of possession of paraphernalia and possession of a schedule one controlled substance.

Rider was preliminarily charged with a misdemeanor count of visiting a common nuisance.
