Phenomena rocks out for charity

Rehearsal for Phenomena, an event held by Purdue Student that will benefit the Bauer Community Center.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — The Bauer Community Center is getting some help thanks to some electric guitars and drum sets.

Purdue students are putting on their annual Phenomena show Friday evening. It’s a free concert at the Elliott Hall of Music.

Each year, the benefit chooses a different local cause to help. This year, Bauer is the recipient.

Organizers say more than just money, they are looking for all kinds of donations.

“It’s a free show but we are asking for donations of personal care items as well as used books and used toys,” said Peters. “We will be having collection bins at the doors and people can drop those off for Bauer, specifically for them.”

Phenomena is this Friday, beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Elliott Hall of Music. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
