Purdue Police investigates attempted robbery

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (The Exponent) – Purdue police are investigating an attempted theft that took place Thursday afternoon.

According to the Purdue Emergency Alert text system, an attempted theft occurred at 1:56pm in at 201 S University, the Hansen Life Sciences Research Building.

A dispatcher for Purdue Police said the department is looking for a “white male, approximately 5’10”, medium build, wearing black jacket and black stocking cap, not clean cut, in his 50s.” The spokesperson for Purdue Police had not been updated on any suspects in custody and was not immediately able to provide details of the incident.
